"bbc", "mandingo", Is It Racial Fetishization Of Black Men?

You're absolutely right, black men culturally aren't as enthusiastic about pandering to women and infantilizing their decision making process.

This has been covered before in the analogy about the elk...and there's a very simple reason why male elk dont avail themselves of the stress, injuries and mortal danger of huge antlers and aggressive behaviors even when doing so would bring less scrutiny to male and female elk alike...am I to take it you think female elk will just simply start to diversify their mating preferences if horns/aggressive behavior became more scarce, or do you recognize the horned aggressive males will just be granted access to that many more mating opportunities, whilst the better behaved more responsible elk will see their genetic lines end?
I could have sworn "Idiocracy" covered this.
No, I do not believe female elk will merely diversify due to scarcity but rather culture; however, the analogy illustrates a few notable points.

The problem is overwhelmingly male. Men create culture. Outside of mutually assured destruction, almost no (if any) female solutions resolve that. The more aggressive an elk, the more likely it is to roam alone, necessitating more responsible elk to work together. There is much truth in the statement, "Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends than that good men should look on and do nothing."

Ultimately, the analogy merely shows men will overwhelmingly take the easier route more often than not and that continued life rests on the belief it is better to live in suffering than be equal in death.

So, black men need not be surprised that by not collectively working together to create a different culture, black women are now more masculine, desire more masculinity, and stop pandering to those whom they feel do not embody those traits. The end! It is what it is. No different than the male elk choosing to maintain the status quo because of the status quo.

Again you are pandering. Black men doing the right thing and creating a productive culture means nothing if black women to not subscribe to the program.
I was listening to one of the newest episodes of "We Need To Talk" on YouTube and a guest espoused a similar fall on one's sword ideology, no different than the ol' " if black men would just pull their pants up" argument that insists if black men would just get their relative ish together black women would just mindlessly fall back into place, as if their autonomy doesnt just allow, but often times incentivizes on a short term basis, to make mating and dating decisions that jeopardize their very self preservation....
But at the end he stated, despite not liking a lot of the tone aimed towards black women, he didn't see anything getting better when those getting good grades and productive employment have always out numbered the athletes, entertainers, and various other bbc adjacent archetypes, but black women were the only ones by in large that opted for the harder road based on their preferences.
I could get 95% compliance of black men getting their shit together...in one generation you'll find black women getting the majority of their trauma and sexual consequences from that 5% and an even larger percentage of black men sexless or in interracial relationships....and they will fight you tooth and nail if you dare suggest they change anything about themselves to get better results.

As I stated, we can agree to disagree and I am bowing out of the conversation with you because to you and many men like you anything that doesn't first center you is pandering to someone else. There is no solution in a strict binary such as that except that someone loses, but that's obviously what those of that mindset want anyway. I guess its fighting tooth and nail then. Have the day you deserve, sir.

I came across an interesting article that was posted in the North Texas Daily on November 7th 2020. It's short but I think it's a worthy read for anyone that is interested in seeing it from another point of view. This is a topic that I feel strongly about as a black male who has been fetishized constantly on different apps. A lot of people don't really consider the origin of certain words that we commonly see. The porn industry has contributed to a lot of the sexual stereotypes of black men and women. Check the link below to read the article.

Fetishization of Black men is a form of prejudice
It seems like it is to me. I am not black. I have a good friend who is black and gay and he has dated men of all races and tends to prefer dating other black men and he said that "most black men are average. The guys you see in porn of any type, are picked because they have large cocks, and shaving, penis pumps, and closeups and low camera angles can make a cock look larger than it really is."

Meh. I'd rather speak to the source. As a minority I prefer to speak for myself than have someone else who knows not what it is to walk in my shoes. You quoted him and that's a big mouthful to quote. Color me suspicious. Did he really say all that to you and you recall it all to quote here?

Yes he did. I have known him for longer than you have been alive.

I suppose I COULD tell him about this site and thread. Is there a forum with amateur body builders clothed and nude? That is his type.

Does it matter? What is beautiful? What is desirable has been implanted
How dare you talking about my place this way? People in Iowa are not guinea pigs that get brainwashed since birth. As a matter of fact my brother grew up exactly the same way as I did and he’s always been attracted to girls with “darker” features. This proves exactly that your statement is a big fat lie

It is a difficult issue, as it involves issues of sexuality, behavior, psychology, social policy, racism, ethnicity, idealization, fantasy and more.

Regarding the term "BBC", I don't like it because, to me, it objectifies black men and replicates the stereotype that black men necessarily have large penises, which is not true, as there are people of all races with penises of different sizes.

In the Porn industry, gay or straight, there is a very specific niche, that of white/black interracial sex. However, it is important to point out that the dominant position in pornography is generally assumed by the black man, while the submissive position is generally assumed by the woman or white gay man. Is there a fetish about this? There is, but I don't think that 100% of people watch interracial sex scenes because they fetishize black men. As a gay man, I don't watch interracial sex scenes because I have a fetish for black men. For me, I watch scenes that I like, regardless of the skin color of the actors.

Regarding the actor Mandingo, if he is being fetishized, in my opinion, he is 100% aware of it and uses this fetish to profit, as it enhances his value in relation to other porn actors. It is important to remember that porn actors build a "character", a "product" for their audience, so much so that most of them use stage names professionally. This is used by a myriad of actors and actresses. Rocco Siffredi is the "Italian stallion", Mark Davis was the "English stud", Silvia Saint was the "European blonde beauty", Tim Kruger is the "Alpha Top", Jack Bailey is the "Twink", Aaron Trainer is the "Black Daddy", just to name a few examples. So, I don't see any harm to Mandingo, since he himself exploits this fetish for own profit.

FYI gang. Fetishism is a known psychological disorder. It's never going to end OK. It is a part of the human condition. When homo sapiens end it will end. Relax the end is near.

Fetishistic Disorder
I don't think the core issue is fetishization, because as you pointed out, it's a bit of an inevitability. The core issue is that without an intraracial appreciation for the norm, the average, you simultaneously make the fetish the top of the intraracial sexual hierarchy, as well as making interracial mild fetishism a more inviting prospect than the sexual disdain and hoop jumping those that share your skin tone demand. The fetish of the "latin lover" or "feisty Latina" is a definite thing but the majority of mundane Hispanic folk find each other just fine. White mainstream media champions a new mundane average face every season, so yeah the Henry Cavills and "Jack Reachers" of the bunch get a lot of attention, but I dont think they have too many more opportunities that the Timothee Chalamets and Micheal Ceras of the world get to enjoy. Black culture has, by its sexual selection and biological consequence, stated that "Dr Tupac" and Future are the most worthy to have sex with and clone, while the Neal DeGrasse Tysons and Russell Wilsons are best regaled to cleaning up those respective messes.
When the average black man perceives , but more importantly enjoys, definitive sexual market value from the average black woman is when BBC fetishism becomes a non issue.

Porn has a complex issue with fetishizing black men

Its a catch 22 if you think this through
Yes, porn is inherently based on objectification and always carries an element of dehumanization. This is typically what anti-porn activists abhor about porn in general.

But for some here porn can be both sexually objectifying and be politically correct? and yet still somehow not involve race in this very visual medium? Good luck with that. lol

If they want to remove the racial stigma,
Why don’t rename the website blacked. But it is also necessary for their own platform… or so

So would simply changing the name be okay? What if the content essentially remained exactly the same though? I think people would still take issue with that.

Porn's main goal is to generate profits. And the name of the site, Blacked, is quite obvious to those looking for this niche. I'm not saying it's correct, however. But it should also be noted that the black performers on the site, even though they are objectified, are elevated to the leading roles and are not naive. They sign contracts and profit from the exploitation of the objectification of their bodies.

I honestly don't know where it came from, because there are pretty much no black guys in my country, but as long as I had gotten into porn, I (shockingly lol) liked big dicks, and appreciated any handsome men. But over time I've developed a liking for the porn of huge black dicks fucking white people (that's the only straight porn I watch, my gay porn taste is less specific, but I also like it there too ofc). It just looks so good to me. It's visually appealing. It sprung up organically for me and I was never hugely surrounded by the BBC myth, or even black people off TV...

So I don't think this is a one size fits all thing - that liking black dicks and interracial porn always comes from the proliferation of the BBC myth.

Thanks for your honesty. I have always said that mainstream porn is a leading cause for the fetishization of black men because it's not just something that is happening in countries where black men live. Of course American produced porn is consumed globally and therefore it is pushed in even places where black people may not even exist and I know it to be true because I met a man who was visiting from another country and he kept bombarding me with questions about "how to find a bbc." He pursued me first but I shut him down immediately and told him I don't play the "BBC" part for those looking to fulfill a fetish for black men. He didn't get it and was still relentless in his pursuit. Another issue that I have with mainstream porn is that it also forces these images into the minds of black men, making them think it is their position to be the "BBC" myth which I do find that there are black men who play into it because it's so prevalent in porn. To me it's kind of sad that black guys feel like they have to pretend to be something just to be more desirable.

That's what I'm saying: media clichés are being imposed and people follow like cattle in a herd.
As for the person, it's an inelegant attitude. If you declined it, he should have stopped. This has become an obsession for some people, like him. And it's sad because it puts people in boxes.
