"bbc", "mandingo", Is It Racial Fetishization Of Black Men?

I met a man who was visiting from another country and he kept bombarding me with questions about "how to find a bbc.
I don’t think someone that wants a “bbc” is degrading a black person. Gay men love big dicks and several black guys tend to be a bit larger down there. But it would be the same thing as having sex with a white guy with a big dick. Sometimes it’s just sex. I mean think about every single hookup with no connection afterwards is just using someone else’s body and then throwing it away. I know many gay black guys that don’t fit that stereotype of being dominant and aggressive and I’m pretty sure nobody expects from them to be that way. Other black guys are more on the dom side and that’s fine

I partially agree with you. However, in my opinion, some people (not all) objectify black men's bodies.

Trust me, I know that gay men love big dicks but there is a certain type of individual that I am specifically speaking of. There are so many non black men (white, Latino, and other) who specifically only target black men for sex and will even state on their profile that they are "only interested in BBC." A hung guy that is not black is not relegated to the demeaning tropes that they relegate to black men when they are trying to live out a BBC fetish. I have no issue with guys that are pursuing big dicks regardless of race but the ones that are tacky enough to make it solely about race by saying things like "only BBC" are the ones that I have issue with and avoid.

I think at the end of the day, try to control your urges and see people for more than their physical traits. Yes a big dick is attractive, black men are attractive. But see them for their intelligence, charm, humor , personality traits as well. Those traits make the physical ones even better. A big dick could be a boring or nasty person and that makes them unattractive

I partially agree with you.
Did you mention you are black, right? Or am I wrong?
Because, if you are black, I did not question your speech. Regarding the feelings of black people, my understanding is that only black people have a place of speech.
Same goes for me as a gay man. People can assume what it's like, but my reality as a gay man is something no straight person will ever be able to experience.

That’s not true. I’m a gay man myself
Perfect. I was using "gay" as example about place of speech.
Of course you have total place of speech about gay issues because you are gay. My comment was that I don´t have legitimacy (my opinion) to talk about black people issues because I´m not black.

I think isolating black suffering from the rest of the world does nothing but alienating black people from other people. If the goal is to fit in that ain’t do the trick

For me, it's not about isolating, it's about trying to be empathetic. As a gay person, I don't want to be isolated, I want to interact. But I also want people to try to be empathetic to the fact that I'm gay.

I agree about the part about fitting in. I think that's the main purpose: to make sure that everyone can fit in socially, while respecting differences.

Yes. I'm a black man.

IDK if this post will make me popular but...

Following on from my earlier post about how I don't know where my liking for black guys in porn came from not having been exposed to any in my formative years, and being in a country with almost none.

Went to US in 2022 and one flight within there was a 6'5" (heard him tell another flyer who asked) absolute unit, really dark skinned, long sleeves and pants but looked muscular too. Looked like an athlete but not sure. Most sexily masculine looking guy I ever remember seeing.

Of course (forgive me lol) my wonder went 'there' too :p but point is, it got me thinking some time after, I'd have noticed his height and strong looking frame on any man, those are unmissable strong masculine signifyers. But could his dark skin/African features also have given his appearance of masculinity an extra boost, or depth?

It just felt instinctual to me that he had a stronger presence, even compared to other men with similar measurements, not even talking about cock here 'cause I couldn't see it.

Very possible I'm just projecting a personal taste here but... not excusing any rude behaviours from people but somewhere along the line, could the idea behind all this fetishizing etc. actually have come from something... biological?

Biological. Probably not. Well not entirely anyway.

I think out "attractions" are partially socially influenced in our young formative years. Based on what we observe or what we are around. (or what we aren't around in some cases?)

Don’t forget that they also practice colorism in this type of porn. Even the black producers lowballs the darker performers of both sexes.

Sad
Really? I politely disagree. There are even legendary black actors with darker skin tones. DeAngelo Jackson and Max Konnor are examples in gay Porn, very well paid and awarded. Diesel Washington is a legendary actor - for me, one of the most gorgeous actors in the History of gay porn -.
Aaron Trainer, Devin Trez, Phoenix Fellington and Adrian Hart are actors who are frequently present in studio scenes. And Braxton Cruz is a newcomer who has already gained fame.
There are several black actors with lighter skin who have not reached the level of stardom of the actors above.
So, I don't know if there is in fact colorism: I see black actors of various skin tones, from very light black tones, through intermediate tones to very dark black. But this also happens with white actors: very pale, pinkish, tanned and darker tones.
Personally, I like seeing variations in skin tones as it shows that people aren't boxed in.

my statement is based on this black female porn star from a documentary I was watching last month- Forget the name.

But they might have did some reform in the porn business especially after what happened in 2020. Like what I said its a catch 22

Is it black men or is it black dick because there is a difference? First, “black” men come in a wide range of shades. Secondly, men from many different cultures have black dicks, not just black men. Latino and Indian men, for example, have dark (black) genitalia. I’m just throwing that out there because I’m curious if the arousal and turn on is the color of the man or the color of his genitalia.

According to the title of the thread, it´s about black men, specifically.
