Him and his PR team are definitely working overtime but continue to f it up. They spent years trying to construct this cute, innocent, naive “straight”-guy-looking-for-love image. I just watched his Vanity Fair video its just so scary how effeminate he’s become! comparing it to any other interviews he’s done pre-coming out, it’s like two different people; one who might be gay and the other who’s totally gay. He’s sketch as fuck. Also anyone who has taking courses in Body Language 101 will watch the video and immediately know he’s not being honest. The ENTIRE interview he was very rigid and his hands were clasped together and kept out of sight under the table, which in BL 101 is a super clear sign someone is withholding the truth, plus when answering the interviewer he would look down and to the side and wouldnt even make eye contact, only when he’s listening. Most evident sign of deception.

I was hoping this interview would change my mind but it solidified my hypothesis. This guy is a con artist. If he hadn’t been blackmailed into coming out he would have stayed “straight”, married him a beard, had some kids and a white picket fence, while vilifying homosexuality. He definitely ought to thank his PR team for being able to turn lemon into lemonade for him.

Honestly, most extreme masculinity and femininity is “learned behaviors”. While gender instincts and general mannerisms can be just as complicated or fluid or individual as sexuality or where someone is in the gender, romantic, sexual, affection, emotional investment, relationship contentment spectrum. But yes, many (and I mean many) guys spend do a lot of work suppressing their campiness and feminine mannerisms, even after “coming out”. It’s always been apparent, at least to me, that this dude was always trying really hard to not “queen out”.

He was also getting agitated towards the end of the interview. I didn't add in my write up since it was already long. That girl was getting under his skin and they were only softball questions where she basically lead him towards the correct answers.

Yes there are moments where you can tell he’s irritated because all of a sudden he’d get very sassy in his response with a little sassy neck action and sarcastic smile, and just for a bit, the whole “innocent naive Colton” mask he’s been wearing drops down and you get to see who has really been hiding underneath all this while.

People can be tacky. I don’t like when folks ask randoms online about their sex life. But in a couple of months, he went from “straight virgin” in a hetero commitment, to taking on a “gay” identity but claiming that he’s unfamiliar with guys and never really dated or hooked up with one, to talking about blackmail and Grindr and bathhouses. People are confused.

He wants to blame everything on hetero pressures and internalized homophobia and seems to be trying to now throw The Bachelor producers under the bus (and no doubt they had their hands in all this shit). He doesn’t however want to admit that a lot of what he’s done was about and still is about money, fame and public validation. Just like he can’t help but still lie. I get how difficult and individual sexuality, self-understanding, confusions/fluidity/contradictions, internalized phobias, gay insecurities, mental health struggles, closet pressures, the gender/sexuality/orientation spectrum, love, etc. can be. But I am tired of grown ass acting like they didn’t choose to manipulate and sellout. So many of these industry people choose to hide same-sex preferences and queer commitments, choose to present themselves as “straight” or non homo leaning for fame, opportunity, money, public validation until it no longer suits them. Then they want to blame it all on hetero pressures and internalized homophobia. Once they’ve done that, they try to use their “coming out” stories and new identities as well for fame, opportunity, money and public validation. All these industry folks are vipers.

I'm seeing two issues here. One, he has every right to decide what he wants to share, just like Sean Cody models aren't obligated to discuss their sex lives via Instagram comments. Not directed at you or anyone just stated that fact before his fans come rushing in here. But, he was the one to bring up the topic of sex in an multiple interviews, and on the Bachelor shows, so it's a little weird to suddenly clutch his pearls in shock. I can somewhat understand his frustration.

But my biggest issue is how boring he and his story happens to be. He came out saying there are nude pictures of him out there and barely made much of a blip. Even on here, there isn't much about Colton to talk about. I'm not sure how much longevity he will have as reality tv star if he keeps messing up the easy stuff, his story/brand, and leaves nothing of interest. He has a Tik Tok, he should be on there generating buzz. Idk, he just doesn't seem right for TV outside of constrained shows like the Bachelor or something.
