Good point, but there are countless working actors who have attended The Juilliard School. Many of them are not stars. Many more of them you’ve never heard of because they primarily work on stage plays. My point is, it means very little when it comes to casting. Whatever panache it might’ve had decades ago no longer applies today. David will do fine with or without his pedigree.

Of course not everyone who goes to this school is going to end up being a top star. That's like saying that every Harvard graduate will be President of the US or CEO. That's the not the point of my comment. The point was to highlight that on top of his good looks he also graduated from a top acting school, which means potentially an actor playing Superman having the acting chops as well. Still not a guarantee, but it helps. A well acted Superman has been missing from these films since Reeves.

I lightened and blew up the image, otherwise no manipulation.

Remember this guy is 6'4, an inch taller than Chris Hemsworth.

Hemsworth never showed anything more than the slightest bulge until that workout video the other week - when he was sweaty, had the blood pumping and was likely sporting a semi,

Whereas this is Corenswet's bulge AFTER he's been in cold ocean water for god knows how long filming.

Granted that angle/timing of the shot where he's moving means its on full display, but even so - if this is his version of 'shrinkage', when warm and hard that dick must just shred people.

Whaaaaat???? Oh my .... that's a lot there

After one day I'm already tired of the comparison of David Corenswet and Henry Cavill in social media.
I understand why people are obsessed with that whole Superman-thing, but Henry had his time and the world keeps spinning. David will bring a new interesting approach to the role, as did Henry years ago.
Can't wait for David in that Superman-suit, masculine, strong and also goodlooking and kind.

It's gonna get worse tbf.
If this movie outperforms Man Of Steel, the Snyder/Cavill obsessives will be furious.

Honestly, while I do agree Cavill was done dirty in that he was passionate about it and wasn't given good material in anything, at the end of the day he had his run. No actor is bigger than the character. While I am obviously glad David got it, I for one am just happy we're gonna see big blue on the big screen again.

Superman will not be explicitly bi. But i do hope they give him and the villain a little homoerotic undertone. Especially with Alexander Skarsgard rumored to be Lex Luthor. That would be so hot
Wait, is that confirmed? Alexander Skasgard as Lex Luthor? I mean the thought of Nicholas Hoult being Lex was already homoerotic, but David and Alex got my knees weak and trembling

The first thing I saw Cavill in was The Tudors. He was already a big dude by then. He started acting in 2001, so it took him 5-6 years at most to get to where he was and is today.

Let’s see if David Corenswet can pull a Christian Bale and bulk up real fast like he did in between filming The Machinist and Batman Begins. It still baffles me how Bale was able to achieve gaining all that weight and muscle so fast. Hollywood trainers must be paid extremely well.
Bale is just that fanatical. He’s like unhealthily obsessed with his characters

To be fair, Gunn did cast pretty much a Cavill look alike, so he isn't doing anyone any favors. I remember watching The Politician and thinking to myself how much David reminded me of Cavill
