How many men are actually bisexual?

So that is your reasoning for declaring all men, or a vast majority of men, as bisexual? Because they are lying? It is well accepted that the vast majority of men are straight -- and to avoid doubt -- meaning that they never have had, never would have, and never will have a sexual desire for another man. To content otherwise is lying to yourself.
Simply my opinion. I could say you are lying to yourself. You believe different, all good.

Also, just to be clear, I never said people were out and out lying in my first post. The reply to my post said that surveys have shown.... I simply pointed out, that people can lie on surveys, especially around a topic of sexuality which is still taboo in society, unfortunately

Yet, your opinion runs counter to volumes of data. I could be of the opinion that unicorns roam the earth but holding that opinion does not make it so.

I agree with your comments, apart from the final rider 'never will have....' I'm 60 plus now, but if I was able to have a conversation with my 20 or even 30 year old self, happily married, young family, and he would tell me there was no way such a desire was on his mind or ever would be. Then along comes "life" and here I am today, all desires explored!

Whereas I'm happy with your epiphany, leaving open the possibility in the definition of "straight" means that there can be nothing considered "straight" which implies such men can never exist as long as the possibility exists which means a denial of such men. Such denials amount to an eraser of all such identifications which would be considered very problematic in other contexts. Do you see the logical problem of taking your personal experience and scaling it to all men?

Nobody here has denied that there are straight men. If you would like to read my original comment again, I said I believed that the number of people who are 100% straight or gay is probably actually less than people who fall somewhere in the middle, but society forces people to feel they have to identify a certain way, most often, straight. Never said that there were no straight men at all, nor did the poster you are replying to here, they simply gave their experience as an example.

Good. Then I presume you concede that the data shows 95% of U.S. males consider themselves straight when that definition included attraction only to women. Your claim that "society forces people to feel they have to identify a certain way, most often, straight" is a presumption not backed by data but by your own beliefs and hopeful bias. So, it is, in fact, a denial of straight men identifying as straight, implying that they are lying due to societal pressure. The more pertinent question is why you cannot believe men with regard to their sexual identification?

I don't have a "hopeful bias" for anything. Doesn't affect me one way of the other how other people identity. As I have told you, several times, it's simply an opinion.

Clearly I've a touched a nerve in you for some reason, but that is your issue to figure out.

All the best!

Opinions not backed by anything substantive are not credible. Holding an opinion does not necessarily authenticate or justify one's beliefs, feelings, conduct, ethics or morality. Your misunderstanding of the value of an opinion is the nerve you touched.

I think around 3-5% of men are gay and 15-35% are on the spectrum of bisexuality. The thing is tons of guys will still identify as straight even if they are not ashamed of jerking off to gay porn or hooking up with guys because to then "this thing" is entirely physical like enjoying having dick in your ass or sucking off doesn't make you gay...nor does it make you straight.

I like to say there is nothing straighter than having gay sex and hating it.
Like there tons of guys who honesty thought for quite long period they are 100% straight and only into pussy etc. But later in their life f.e in their 30s they discovered something changed( Expanded?) and gay porn and muscle hunks make their dick hard.

I don't think its an age thing, I think it"s a more of a come to realize what they tell to do to reach orgasm would be much simpler if we did what seems natural .

Still more of this nonsense. The data is easy to access. For example, U.S. Census Bureau Survey -- 4.4% of adults age 18 and over identified as bisexual. "Psychology Today" article -- 1.4% of men identified as bisexual. There is no evidence to support your unfounded contention that "tons of guys will still identify as straight even if they are not ashamed of jerking off to gay porn or hooking up with guys..." That is just wishful thinking on your part.

One thing to consider is fantasy and reality. The horny brain, and the normal brain when not horny.
When a man is horny, your lateral orbitofrontal cortex goes dark. Your central brain literally shuts off your "thinking brain". So thoughts, attractions etc. are VERY different when your normal brain reengages.
Example... take a man who has lived his whole life hetero, when he is jerking off, preparing to jerk off - all kinds of things look good. Including bodies of males.
But ask this same fella what man he works with does he want to have sex with... guess how many?
NONE. If fact, he will likely not be able to think of a single male he knows who turns him on.
When a dude is jerking off - he may be bisexual, gay, cross dresser - about anything. Then he ejaculates, and thinks.... "well I did it again".

I mean, his coworkers could be just ugly (that happens to me, I don't find any attractive) or he could just have a thing for a particular guy but never admit it and take it to the grave (also I can relate)

So you're saying that all men are actually homosexual no matter how they identify, no matter the way they live, and no matter their actual sexual preferences, all because they might fantasize the way you hope they fantasize? I guess by that standard, when I fantasize about being a MVP basketball player winning the NBA finals it is real.

I don't think you're far off the mark. Example: Some straight living men jerk off into their hand watching gay porn. But if they wait more than a split second... They won't eat it. The desire melts away in an instant. I used to be this way when my sexual urges changes evolving. And I agree, even at my gym, I can only see a few men in a week that I'd think I'd have sex with. But I see the ladies and think there are at least 10 on any given day. But porn...? I include a lot of male porn.

As I've said in the past: It's complicated.

The way I think about it is instead of looking at it as attraction to male/female - think of it as feminine/masculine instead.
Take my own attractions. I am attracted to femininity alone. I have zero attraction to masculinity.
So, yes, if a male is effeminate, is built more like a female than a male - I would do him.
But "regular guys" - no way, no how.
So therefore, like you, I could have sex with probably 70% of the female population below 60 years old.
But dudes... probably only 5% of males.

These days the bar for me is: not a shit person and can communicate, but I guess that's asking too much.

Don't care about femininity or masculinity that much, not big boobs, big cocks, how much money they make or how popular are they on social media.
