Happy New Year
Happy New Year
Many of the videos that SC removed were high definition. I'm not sure why you think they were decades-old and grainy quality. Maybe that would apply for the first couple of years, but 10 years ago, SC was releasing videos with Stu and Abe and Brandon in high-def and all of those videos are gone.
Also, it is interesting that you bring up CF and Chaosmen. CF has not deleted thousands of videos from their archives. As far as I know, they removed a handful of videos for various reasons (I think one model committed suicide, another was killed), but the vast majority of their content is still online as opposed to SC. I don't follow Chaosmen as closely, but I can still search and find videos from 10-15 years ago on the site, so it doesn't look like they have removed much.
Furthermore, both CF and Chaosmen have gone back to remaster their old videos in higher quality formats, so they clearly understand the value of their back catalogue. They keep the old videos because they know they can use them to make money. That's a strong argument for why SC would keep their videos unless they were forced to remove them.
Actually, to be fair, after a performer's death it is fairly common to remove videos. I think coconut was simply wondering if the removal of videos had to do with that, a fair statement which I do not find ignorant. Sometimes videos are pulled down by a request of the family, or the site's policy. With Corbin Fisher and Sean Cody it is very often done. Several of their models have died by suicide or overdose, and both of the sites commonly pull all their videos, likely to avoid any kind of legal accusation that the death or drug use had anything to do with their video production. You never know how courts may rule in these cases.
It is unfair to brand comments severely. I agree with you that the death of an actor or porn actor does not erase their body of work. If that were the case, we'd have to delete a good percentage of classic films and porn, out of the question.
my comment was it didn't erase the body of work. sure, some studios remove, but not always upon the death of the performer. SC has been doing a full houseclearing. joey's vids were up for quite a while after his death. 70's and 80's pre-condom classics are still widely available and through the studio. tbh, i think they should be removed when the performer ends up in prison for let's say, murder, or assault. because drugs tend to fall under the medical diagnosis of addiction, keeping them is more acceptable. but the death of a performer doesn't eliminate a person's work, as the comment i responded to indicated
Question: Are you able to download videos with the monthly subscription after paying for the upgrade and what is the upgrade cost? Do you know if there limits on how many videos someone can download?I don’t think rebranding is the reason for the massive deletion since some videos from those years were left on the website. The lost age of majority records appears to be a more logical explanation, but still… I do not believe for a second that any underage models were used, and due investigation would show evidence the models were over 18. Let us keep the faith and visualize they end up reuploading all the deleted stuff, and thanks to you all for archiving it here.
As for the current membership… Yeah, an upgrade is required to download, and DRM is now enabled. The only ways to bypass that restriction without upgrading are by using a scraper or recording the stream (by running the m3u8 link via VLC Media Player), recording it, and then closing the player and accessing the file in the computer’s “Videos” folder.
I joined days ago through this special offer (I selected $5.99 for one month). I then called and managed to extend it to a second month for $14.94. I guess I’ll then cancel or take the yearly membership. $29.99 per month is just too pricey for any site, I think, esp. if one already has a string of subscriptions.
Apples and oranges.Mmm… What if a world-renowned scientist died under such tragic circumstances? Would their inventions, patents and books be deleted? What if a famous chef died in such manner, would their cooking books and shows be deleted? But if that happens to an adult model, some believe the material must be deleted “out of respect”... Out of respect or out of shame, like adult legacy is sinful, hellbound (to the soul of the model and the viewers’) or shameful? Something to think about!
Some more thoughts… As @8Cylinder said, maybe it’s to avoid legal repercussions, but still… Reasonably, nothing could tie the studios to such deaths unless it could be proven the owners of the studios were directly involved in harmful behaviour, mental abuse, providing illicit drugs, etc.
Adult actress Savannah died quite tragically, but her life work is still legally available for rental, streaming or purchase. Deleting it would be akin to erasing part of what she achieved on this Earth—great adult modelling and entertainment that millions enjoyed. I would not have deleted any scene at all, whether on Sean Cody (1,600 scenes!!!), Corbin Fisher or anywhere else.
As for murder, mentioned by @takingitallinallofit, years ago, Ali Liam was charged with murder. (I do not know if he was convicted.) His scene is however still available on Men.com. Some rappers and singers were accused or convicted of spousal abuse, aggravated violence, murder or rape, but their music is still available for streaming or purchase. One should keep in mind others also worked on such work of art. It’s a matter of choice to consume said material or not.

It's super annoying how non-transparent the site is about their fees. Thanks for any info you have.

I never paid for the upgrade, but I would think downloads are unlimited.
Thanks for the info! Not sure what happened… Video DownloadHelper seems to be working on that site again! Video DownloadHelper is a free downloader extension.
Thanks for the information. I was a subscriber to BSB back in the late 00's. Good to know they are still updating and old episodes are still up on the site. May have to resub.By the way, if you guys like old school Sean Cody, you may also like BrokeStraightBoys, still updated. Over 2,000 scenes, and the episodes go as far back as 2006. Like Sean Cody, there are usually interviews w/ the models: in the case of BSB, before and after the scene. A sub to BrokeStraightBoys gives full access to CollegeBoyPhysicals, also still updated. All videos from both sites are downloadable except for those in 1080p that require, for now, an external downloader (such as CocoCut or Video DownloadHelper).
Brandon’s fuzzy crack looks deliciousBrandon is the most gorgeous guy that ever stepped at Sean Cody
Too bad nowadays a guy hot like him would probably be baiting on Onlyfans
