I suspect most of the gay defense squad absolutely thinks that. Mostly because they (myself included) see behavior that is all too relatable—that level of anxiety only comes from the fear of being outed, or not fully coming to terms with your sexuality. Remember another source of his anxiety is staying relevant and if he thinks that being outed will change his stardom trajectory (or inauthenticate his songs about girls) then he is going to sink deep into denial.
