The Boyfriend Netflix reality series

He has a youtube channel with his jap friend
Oh yeah. I've seen these videos. There's a cute one where he is in Thailand with his friend, gets called up by a street magician and this guy touches his bulge to do his magic trick. Hard to understand anything though even with auto translate.

I unironically think the porn past thing gave Kazuto a much needed layer of humanity and deepness of character. I feel like if he was only the super-poised-and-polite-guy-who-everybody-wants he would come off as too much of a Mr. Perfect and end being non-relatable, with all the walls he already has.
I was totally thinking the same - when it came out I got more interested in him ‘cause he seemed much more real. Glad to know someone else thinks so.

And as an inoffensive spoiler:
I WAS SHOCKED WITH DAI DOING FACE MASK.
What on earth has this young man done to look like 38 at 23 even though he is doing skin care???
Would he look like 55 if he was not doing it??? I have so many questions!
He just has acne scars, you're being harsh.

Ok, of course I was exaggerating for the sake of the joke, but being dead serious and completely honest about it:

Dai does look a lot older for a Japanese man of his age, and I don't think it is because of his acne scars (or face skin actually).

I mean, even in the heavily edited promotional pictures where you can't get a glimpse of his acne, he definitely doesn't look like 23.

(The second one, specially. It's insane! Lol)

And I don't even mean that as a bad thing. The guys I find the most attractive in the show are the ones in their thirties, Taeheon, Kazuto (almost 30) and Alan (although unbearable, I do find him handsome). A lot better than the baby face of Shun and Ikuo (who I think production chose a very bad picture for the promotional material, btw).

As a non-asian who spent the last decade in Japan, I totally get the western thing of "east asians look so young" and it did take me a while to start seeing it, but I'm 100% sure Dai gets called 老け顔 (fukegao, Japanese for older-looking face) on his private life all the time and that's not even a bad thing, since so many people find 30s-looking men more charming.

I mean, look at this! (from his instagram)

Btw, I wish him all the luck and completely agree with Bella that he showed a lot of maturity dealing with Shun. Green flags for Dai if anything.

For me it’s the fact that he looks so much like a young Tony Leung (Happy Together, Chunking express, Shang-Chi) so seeing his face in Dai automatically gives him a mature vibe long with the fact that he seems relatively mature with how he approaches relationships on the show. The messiness of western dating shows could never haha.

Also on another topic, I do think that Kazutos past in AV makes him more cautious about who he brings into his personal life/ gets into relationships with thus making his actions in the house understandable.

It's season 19 of him being '23'.

I don't understand why the producers choose to push shun into our faces and how people can be smitten by him. He is such a toxic person and his debbie downer attitude is so off putting. I feel in a great mood every time he isn't in a scene and then his face comes on and I'm like well... i guess it's a bad day. Lol

you literally only see roughly 30-40 minutes of him every episode where they filmed for ONE WHOLE MONTH. idk how u use that to determine he is toxic when you dont even know half of who he is
