The Thread for Discussion about Models & Celebrities Sexuality

I really don't care at all about whether any particular creator/porn star is gay/bi/straight etc., but I have a huge pet peeve when I see people argue that any guy who has gay sex must, by definition, be gay (or bi). I just find this argument complete nonsense. Think of all the closeted gays throughout history that have been married to women and had children. Were they not authentic when they came out later in life? Are they actually all bi and lying? Of course not. Gay4pay is a real thing and sexual activity is not the same thing as sexual orientation.

I'll get off my soap box now.
I don't really dissagree but my issue with many people who hold this view is that u ask for a finger and then u are takimg whole fuckin arm lol , if u know u know.

I really wonder if, within the last decade of his life, Richard Simmons hooked up with men or just finally admitted to himself he was gay. He wasn’t in the spotlight or making public appearances anymore, and wanted time for himself. I did read that Jane Fonda met up with him and a new boyfriend for lunch, right before his abrupt retirement. And I did hear some rumors that the breakup really hurt Richard. I think this was as he was dealing with his hurt knee and the death of his beloved Dalmatian all at the same time.

I just hope Richard found some happiness with men, even if it was very short lived. He could do whatever he wanted!
It's interesting to reflect on Richard Simmons’ personal life and the way he chose to step back from the public eye. The speculation around his relationships and sexuality is natural, especially considering his absence from the spotlight. It’s clear he faced a lot of personal challenges, from his knee injury to the loss of his beloved pet. As for his sexuality, it’s ultimately up to him to define that, and he deserves privacy and respect regarding his choices. The most important thing is that he finds happiness and peace, whatever form that may take. Everyone deserves the freedom to explore their personal journey on their own terms.

Yes, g4p porn creators are actually bisexual

So are men who have had sex or relationships with women but later "came out as gay".

Most LGBT people are actually bisexual
Nah.. the so-called G4P creators are the hot and straight ones who rub boners and bang each other. For the most part, they don't do with with flamboyant gays, that's is why the gays always hate them. They're jealous because they can't get in between them!

closet gays living a suppressed life are lying; they might be bi, otherwise they are faking it with women. When they come out, they choose authenticity.

Gay4pay is real, it is fake, it is not authentic, it is lying. If they don't enjoy it/aren't attracted, they are going through the motions, that is fake.

That's a little like saying, "Obama was President in 2008, so racism in elections for political office has been fixed.".
I never said any such thing, my point was trying to suggest black people are only now "getting their flowers" (like you implied) is not accurate. They been getting flowers for a while now and that's great. That's progress. Perfect? No, but better. The same level of progress can't be said for openly gay/queer actors. That's all.
If you want the list of LGBT Academy Award nominees: Bates, Brando, Clift, Gielgud, Dean, Domingo, Hawthorne, Hulce, Laughton, McKellan, Redgrave and Winfield were all nominated. All were known in Hollywood circles to be gay. Brando won, even after giving interviews where he admitted he had relationships with men.

Gascón, Domingo and Erivo are nominated this year! This is Domingo's second nomination.
Not sure this helps the argument? Multiple nominations with no wins just further evidence that being gay was still seemingly a barrier to actually winning. Especially when str8 actors have won/been nominated far more when playing gay roles.
Who Gets to Be Gay at the Oscars?

As for Brando, when he won his first oscar in 1954, he absolutely did not admit to relationships with men, he hadn't said that openly until like the 1970s. Regardless he was bisexual, not strictly gay and by most accounts leaned more towards women. He's an exception, not really a good example.

He's likely too short to play Bond. Most of the guys who played Bond were pretty tall- I think Connery was like 6' 2" or 6" 3" and was a bodybuilder before he became an actor.

Even if Madden were to be given the role, which I think is unlikely, he won't win awards for Bond. It's not the kind of role that gets nominations.
Bond is an awards role sure but it's a big prestige role, hence why it is still highly sought after. Also you totally glossed over the main reason I brought that up, that audiences even to this day, still don't/can't see Bond as gay (even the actor doing the role)

but bond isnt gay and they did have a reference to bond knowing he had it done had a gay relationship even though he is straight. Silva was gay

but i do agree with you there is still a barrier for openly gay actors now ones that are open are not leading roles

I think even Daniel Craig himself has suggested that Raoul Silva isn't gay. and he is not canonically gay either, he is at best "sexually ambiguous" but not gay.

I would be interested to know about users experiences. I know for a fact, that as an actor (community theatre, nothing fame wise) that I have not been offered a role because of my sexuality. I have also been propositioned by a director who was directing a play I auditioned for.

Has anyone else had instances where their sexuality helped or hurt them get a role, perform a concert, or affected their professional or artistic lives?
The one time I had sex with a man who was later in a position to advance my career, he would not do so precisely because I had done so, and he was still married.

I wanted to have a cabaret show at a local club and the current director at that time made it clear I had to go to bed with him to do so, so I walked away. A movie star I know, on the other hand, said she never judged how anyone else got ahead, because sometimes that one chance may be your only one.

Many gay actors are able to play straight roles because they are not gay when acting. A gay artist of any kind who cannot rise above that is self-limiting in the first place. Creative work has to be on a universal level.
not the ones who are in the young adult roles

Patrick Schwarzenegger has entered the chat, according the blind items. I don’t believe that a triple nepo-baby (politicians son, movie star’s son, political dynasty heir) would need to saddle up for a role
In the White Lotus, but that’s the gossip out in the streets.

Because they can, they feel like it and they have every right to do so.
Good for them to be themselves and stop caring about being accepted by the bros. Just like we can fuck whomever we want, they can act however they want. Isn't that the beauty of freedom?
