Yeah, long ago people here were posting a link to something called "just4boys" or "justusboys" where there was a video of him trying to reach his ass with it. It was very clear that the 13.5"/8" flaccid thing was a load of hooey. My guess would be that the video happened before he decided to launch all that crap. Wish there was a copy here.
You'd be surprised. I think the internet is a big part of the reason he was able to do what he did. This place is like some weird little closet off the side of a long hallway that leads to the internet. People on the real internet who know the name will swear that there's video footage of him being measured at 13.5" and that he actually holds a world record (as if there ever was one). You can read thousands of comments on YouTube, IMDB, etc. and you'll be lucky to run into one person who even suspects anything. People can get really stupid when it comes to urban dick legends.
I've said it before, but there's sort of a "ME ME ME" thing about a guy with a decent-sized dick who makes up some inflated number to go with it. It's selfish and inconsiderate of your fellow man. We're living in a time where plenty of guys are being made to feel shitty and depressed about something which they often have no reason to sweat about. Thanks to him and his like, there are average (and below) guys who think there are guys out there with 10,11,12,13.5 inch dicks and that your average big dicked guy, or porn star, is at least 8 or 9 inches. Some will never figure out that it's all bullshit and go on feeling small and hopeless. On top of all that, some of the stuff is just plain wrong. Imagine if you were one of those small guys who already has that insecurity eating away at you, and you're out somewhere sitting with your wife or girlfriend, when along comes imaginary dick man in his spandex dick suit, hoping to draw attention and be pointed out to everyone. Then you've got people out with their families and kids and all. It would take a certain type to be capable of all that, and while I don't really believe in calling people ugly or ragging on another's looks, I also have trouble feeling sorry for any of the big dick "liar" types. Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing all of them "outed".
From what I've read, it was much later. I think up until the HBO thing (99?) he was just accepting himself as having a big dick like lots of other guys had. I don't think he realized how easy it would be to make up such a ridiculous story to go along with it and have people actually believe it. Encouragement from the sleazebag tabloid people who like the idea of a "world's largest penis" and use him for a cheap story probably made it easier.
Moral of the story right there. It's not true. It was made up ...deal.
