It's raining outside and I can smell the wet creosote.

If you've never had the pleasure of experiencing that fragrance I feel bad for ya. It's definitely my absolute favorite smell of all time other than weed.

I'm so excited for dinner tonight.

We usually cook. It's always good, but tonight we felt lazy so we called in some of our favorite New Mexican food (it really is its own thing) and I got a taco burger plate with green chili and smothered fries.

Best thing about it, the restaurant has a drive thru for call in orders! I am *so* going to pick it up in my pj's.

Fuckin A. It's gonna be so good.

Specifically the Numex varieties. Hatch too. We grow the best chili in the country here. New Mexico chili is addictive. If I ever had to move out of state bet your sweet ass-cheeks I'd be getting it delivered no matter shipping fee. I don't think I can live without it.

You were mentioning (in a later post) that you love the smell of weed. For me, it's a migraine trigger..
Also, federally legalized here, a few years back, and, quite often used by neighbours... so, I have a lot of "fun" days .
But, peppers.. well, at least hot sauces... Some reason, I can get a good buzz from them for about half an hour or so (and, yah, they do help manage chronic pain)... Probably have to take it down a few notches from what I was eating back in my 30's/40's.. but.. hey.. old age snuck up on me and beat me with a nail-ridden baseball bat.

I have similar experiences though, my migraines aren't nearly as frequent as they used to be but cigarettes will often trigger one. City atmosphere too. Being that I work in the city now and almost all my coworkers smoke cigarettes in the same break area we all have to share (it's outside but it's kinda closed off) and we rotate them as the boss schedules I always have to take my breaks other than my lunch in a friggin cig cloud and I hate it. So I understand.

Oh, it's federally legalized here. Few of the provinces have different regulations for sale/distribution/age, but, federally, it's legalized. (Cannabis Legalization and Regulation )
I know for the states, they're still apparently asking the questions at the border if you've smoked weed.... sort out them terrorist types... *eyeroll* (and, tbh, there's plenty of other drugs that are normalized that they should be more concerned about)

There's a high probability that this kind of cookie already exists but I haven't ever seen a recipe. So I'm thinking it's not too hard, and I'm gonna give it a go!

Chocolate cookies with creamy peanut butter filling. Like, if a Reese's cup morphed into a cookie. Like I said, I'm so sure it already exists somewhere. But I'm gonna science and if it goes well I'll share in my cooking thread in Et cetera.

I decided to bake today even though I was recently put all the way off from it because my fella can be a turd sometimes. I'm not gonna let that ruin my fun tho.

Today, Brown sugar cinnamon cheesecake cookies with cinnamon icing.

Just regular cookie dough surrounding a cinnamon brown sugar cream cheese filling with cinnamon icing drizzled on top. My inspiration was the brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts.. that's my favorite flavor. So I thought since I didn't get to enjoy my last batch of Funfetti cookies I'm gonna make a pop tart inspired version today. I'll share pics in my cooking thread in Et cetera when they're done.
