Still has bed warmer on at night

I get sweaty just thinking of a bed warmer. The boy sleeps with two blankets all winter. I use a top sheet.

I have thick blood as they, well some of them, say. I like cold and I like dark. The next 4 months are my least favorite of the year.

He definitely found his “tribe”. I’m really broken-hearted over him. He could have really done something with his life, but he’s a bitter, angry young man. Blames the world for everything. Yes, he had it tough, but I know people who had it worse. He made the choice to blame and be bitter.

Have any of you lovely ladies adopted or considered adoption?

I would like to adopt eventually. By the time I have gotten my life back on track from where my husband derailed it, I will be too old to consider childbirth. I would like two. One from here, and one, an albino, from a country in which albinos are hunted and murdered. If I'm able to make that happen, I will be counting on all of my less melanated sistren to help me fully understand how to properly care for delicate, pale skin. I've only ever had one burn, and it took standing on a sand bar way out in the Atlantic ocean to get it. I didn't even know it was a sunburn until white people told me. Once I knew, I kept poking it. It just felt so strange. That is the weirdest pain in the world.

I lived in a country (Tanzania) where that sadly does happen regularly in some regions (especially around Lake Victoria).

I think with albinos, they also need to be careful with their eyes as well.

Yes! That I'm used to. Because a lot of women in my family go blind as they age, protecting my eyesight was one of my mother's obsessions.
