BTW, as a fellow language lover, another plus point for considering Tanzania (or East Africa generally) in your adoption search, is I think you may enjoy learning some Swahili (assuming you haven't learnt any yet, of course, which I could be wrong on). It's a gorgeous language (it's very sing songy, has only long vowels and no dipthongs), relatively simple grammar (apart from the noun classes) and it has a really fun system for building up sentences.

Ugh. Worst part of summer. Second only to swamp ass.

I hate summer and refuse to participate in any summer activity until the madness stops.

They're a bit sickly (even for me - and that's saying something!)

But I've had a buttons egg, a mini eggs egg and a roses egg today...

I'm trying to stay up for Game of Thrones, so I need sugar. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it...

I can eat a Cadbury’s egg if I do it slowly. First I suck the filling out, then work on the chocolate. Too much if I do it in bites.

I'm being a good diabetic.

Also, I spent the day doing yardwork and weekly meal prep. Finished an hour ago. I'm in bed. I would like a massage, okay? I have earned it. Plzblvit.

I forgot it was Easter. When I left the kitchen for the day, I was asked about a lamb roast. As in, was I ready for him to start the charcoal fire. Oops. I felt badly. He cut the grass just like I wanted, extra short, without me saying anything about wanting it done. I had planned to do it myself.

You know, if that man was straight, I would keep him. He can read my mind. When I got out of the shower, he had made me a plate from the last of last week's meal preps. And this morning, he air fried the first batch of chicken from the breasts and thighs I'd brined on Friday. Granted, he wanted fried chicken for brunch, but it was still nice.

I took some ibuprofen. This kind of thing makes me feel old. Even my hands hurt.

I'm out of salted nuts. This is probably not the best place to complain about that. But right now, salted macadamia or pecans are my candy.

I love frozen dates.
The taste like a salted caramel toffee and in their frozen state have the chew of one.

I will also have to try this. I keep seeing dates pop up as an ingredient to sweeten and flavor smoothies, but what you said actually makes me want to pick some up.
